Like every year, the day before Mother's Day we take time out to remember the kids birthmothers. Last year was quite emotional for Seb as he desperately wanted to see his birthmother and know more about her. At the end of last year Seb received his greatest gift, getting a letter and picture from his birthmum. It made him more upset in the short term, but in the long term it has really settled him and he is comforted to know more about her life. Knowing this information has been the 'normal' for Zoe as she's known about her birthmother right from the start. We are so blessed and grateful we now have contact with both kids birthmothers.

I am so grateful to my kids' birthmothers, firstly for them choosing life for their babies, and secondly for choosing adoption for their precious ones. It's because of them that we were able to become a family and I will forever be grateful to them for that.
It amazes me when I think of everything that had to fall into place in two countries so far away to enable us to adopt our kids, plus all the processes we had to go through here in Australia to make that happen. Looking back, we can see God's hand in all of it. We are beyond blessed to have Seb & Zoe as our children.
