Deutschfest 2012

It was time for the school fete again today, which is always a fun and busy day.

Seb was all dressed up in his German outfit ready to dance with his class. They do a special dance each year right up until they are in Year 4. Only two more years to go already!

Seb having a great time with his mates, with glasses on that he got from a lucky dip.

Seb and Christian ready to do their dance.

It was almost impossible to get photos of the kids doing their dance as there were SO many parents standing around watching. We think they need to do it on a stage next year!

Seb in amongst his class mates doing the dance. Look how many video cameras and phones are being held up trying to capture some of the moment!

Seb had his very first public performance at the Deutschfest  this year. He was really scared beforehand and was saying he didn't want to do it. It was in the hall where they always have chapel, so he was familiar with the setting. Today it was transformed into a coffee shop and a lot of students performed music to give the customers something to listen to. It was up on the big stage and on the grand piano so I could see why Seb was a bit scared! He did really well though, going backstage and going onstage when he was told. He played 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight', and kept the right timing and played loudly so we could hear it.

So proud of our boy!
