Seb helping Zoe cross the road (the road was actually closed in case you're worrying!)

Mildura had its annual Mardi Gras last night. It's just lots of mostly local floats advertising their services and wares, and it's a fun family night out.
Seb's school float (they won best school category). They handed out flags advertising the Deutschfest, which is the school fete that's on the day before Mother's Day. It's HUGE.

My niece, Addie, waving to her fans while dressed in her German attire. Seb didn't want to be on the float as he didn't want to miss out on the lollies other floats hand out!

It was very hot and the humidity was horrible. We all sweated buckets watching the parade go past. I finally got Zoe off my knee as she was scared of the noisy and weird looking floats. It was too hot to hold her, so she sat behind me. Can you see one of her eyes squeezed shut? That's preparing to hide...

The man inched towards Seb and pretended he was going to get him with his sword. Seb giggled his head off, of course. Then he shook hands with him. How cool does he look?!

After a hot, sticky night, we ended it watching some entertainment they had on while enjoying nice, cold ice cream.

Looks like you had a great day. I love the pic of Seb and Zoe holding hands (or was it holding 'arm'?!) At the moment I'm just hoping for half an hour, or even 5 minutes) of not being revolting to each other. HELP!
