Easter Saturday - Ava day!

Easter Saturday was a day so many of us were waiting for - Ava Maynard came home to Australia! The picture above was our first glimpse of sweet Ava 'in the flesh'. We'd seen so many photos and heard so much about her, but nothing compared to seeing her for real. It was amazing. To see the whole family so overjoyed was the most wonderful thing after such a long wait for their baby girl. Tamara had the biggest smile that didn't waver the whole time we saw her at the airport! Rightly so, she is absolutely besotted with her daughter - as we all are!

Oh my gosh, this a moment I'll remember forever. Hugging my best friend at the end of a very emotional journey to her children. There were tears of happiness and relief that Tam had her daughter home.

Another special moment - my first hold of Ava. She sat back in my arms for 30 seconds, looked me right in the eyes and wondered who I was (we all say it's like she's doing a retina scan!). Then I was lucky enough to have a little snuggle and have her rest on my shoulder. Yes, she was tired, but I'll take any sort of cuddle I can get! It was the most wonderful moment.

She is such a happy little girl who loves to show off her tricks. I think she's going to be the outgoing one who will have to encourage Zoe to do things! Ava has such a happy personality and doesn't seemed to get fazed by much at all.

Tam & Glen were blessed to bring Ava home three days before her first birthday. I'm so happy that they get to spend Ava's very first birthday with her. Everything has finally worked out for them.
It was so nice to be able to meet the Maynard's at the airport. It was just Tam's parents, sister and us. We would have moved heaven and earth to be there, and are so thankful we got to see Ava within an hour of her landing in Australia.
Seb is totally in love with Ava already! Driving away from the airport Seb said that he wished Ava was his sister as well as she's so cute and he loves her. Awwww!


After a huge morning, we didn't know what to do with ourselves for a while! We just kept talking about Ava, how beautiful she was and how easygoing she is. We eventually pulled ourselves together and went and got some breakfast. Then we went and played in a park until lunchtime before going to a Korean supermarket to stock up on all the biscuits that the kids love.

We then went and visited our good friends Emma & Greg. It was great to catch up with them again. Time always seems to get away on us.
