Ballet/Basketball

Last weekend, the Maynard family came up for a visit. The bonus was that it was Zoe's birthday on the Sunday too :) On Saturday, we dragged them around to our usual morning activities. Being the last class of term, we were all allowed to go in and watch Zoe do ballet. It's the only time parents/friends are allowed in class.

The kids watching a movie on the ipad before heading out for the day.

There was time to open one present on the eve of Zoe's birthday, from the Maynard's. They somehow assumed she would get heaps of presents on her birthday (!!!! ;) ), so gave it to her early.

Too much cuteness in one room seeing the 3-4 year old ballet class. They all love it so much.

Flexing their toes.

Doing a dance with the wands. I am surprised how many girls have their wands in their left hands. Is this a sign of how many of them are left handers?? Pretty certain Zoe will be one.

Girls having fun while learning.

Gotta love the hand on the hip. They are supposed to do this, but it makes me wonder how long it'll take to bring out that pose when she's giving me attitude :)

Straight after ballet it was basketball time for Seb. This is only his second week of playing and he really loves it. They play for 15 mins, are coached for 15 mins, then play again for 15 mins.

Seb in action. He loves running from one end to the other.

We're very surprised at how much he gets in on the action already. He's not reserved at all - shouldn't be surprised seeing as he's no where near shy off the court either!

Good throw Buddy!

In on the action again.

We're so glad our kids have found their little niche in their own fields outside of kinder and school. Ballet does wonders for shy little Zoe's social skills, and basketball suits our little social butterfly to a 'T'. So proud of both of them.
