Gardening

On the weekend we did a LOT of gardening. Ian's work is knocking down the sawmills and he got some of the free mulch for us. As we needed about 20 cubic metres of it we never would have been able to buy it for quite a while! It took four truck loads, plus two huge trailer loads to have enough mulch to spread around the perimeter of our yard. Am so happy that the garden looks a lot more finished now.

Kids in the truck with Ian (only in the backyard!)

Tipping out a load. Seb loved seeing this, and the trailer Ian had a lend of was also a tipper one and Seb controlled the tipping all on his own.

Seb was a great little helper on the back of the truck. It was so much easier to shovel it off after he'd loosened it up a bit.

Zoe just had a fun time playing outside! Oh no, she did help.... with a little teaspoon she busied herself shifting teeny tiny bits of mulch around!!

Ian on the dingo after realising it was really hard work to spread it out from a big pile. Ian's Mum is in the background - she came around to use the computer and afterwards ended up helping us for a couple of hours (and went home burnt!) Thank you! It was not easy work at all. I'm not an outside person in the slightest and it just about killed me!!! Was worth the results in the end.

A couple of before and after shots - not exactly the same angle, but you get the picture :)

A big shout-out has to go to my wonderful husband. He absolutely worked his tail off on a very hot weekend. As I told him, I am very lucky to have a husband who works so hard. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Good work guys. Looks great! I can totally relate... I hate outside work, but the end results are certainly worth it.
