Swimming Carnival

Seb with a couple of his mates - Lincoln & Cooper

Thursday night we had Seb's first ever swimming carnival (or swimming carnivore as Seb called it!). The Preps could enter the two novelty events which of course Seb was very excited about. Not only was it great to see Seb swim, it was fasinating to see his social skills in full swing! It was ridiculous how many people he knew and how many he played with. I think we got to see him for about five minutes as he was so busy socialising! The thing that cemented the fact he was very comfortable with his school was the time when he 'Hi-5'd' the head of the middle years like they were best friends. So many people know Seb and it's only a matter of time before every student, teacher and parent knows him - Seb will make sure of it! Seb's certainly been busy in his first 4 weeks of school (has it only been that long??).

Chloe, one of Seb's classmates giving Seb a Chinese Burn. Seb said 'They didn't even hurt me Mum. I'm so tough!' Yep, showing the girls how manly he is already!

Seb jumping in the pool to start the 'race'.

The Preps swam under a couple of hoops, turned around, and went back through them again.

Ready to jump in for the 'peg search'. The teachers threw in a stack of pegs for each of the four teams and they had to search for their team colour (Seb's in green, Sturt, hence the green tie on his wrist)

Seb searching like crazy for the green pegs.

'Whoa Mum! Look how many I found!'

Seb was in his element at the swimming carnival. It was hard to round him up at the end of the night as he kept disappearing to go talk to someone all the time. As we were leaving he asked 'Can we do that again tomorrow?' Hmmm, maybe in a years time!
