Seb had his Jump Rope for Heart day at school yesterday. Over the course of just a few weeks, he's gone from being able to jump the rope twice in a row to now doing 100 at a time. There's no slow skipping either, it's full pace! Every morning before school and in the afternoon after school he was wanting to go out and skip. Must be really exciting to a 7 year old to master new skills :)
Jumping in pairs. It was so funny watching them try and incorporate another jumper in their normal skipping space. This pairing didn't work that well as Joseph is so much taller than Seb and it was hard to swing it high enough. They had fun though.
Sack races. They had music blaring from the speakers so the afternoon had a real 'fun' feel.
Seb ran in from the side and started jumping. He jumped a few times, thought that was boring, then started jumping in circles while still managing to jump over the rope.
The afternoon was cold, and rain drizzled lightly, but I don't think any of the kids noticed or cared a scrap! Was really good seeing them all have fun together.
