That's right, Seb got first prize!!! His school chose 8 prep students to enter their art into the Mildura Show's Arts Prep:Collage division. Out of all the entrants, Seb got picked as 1st prize. We are so proud of him. Art is his favourite subject and he's always been a 'crafty' boy, so this prize means a lot to Seb. At assembly today, all the students who won places at the Show got asked individually to go up onto the stage. Seb said 'I wasn't even shy Mum'. They took his photo with his collage and will put his creation on display at the school. As we didn't go to the Show (would rather spend our money on our upcoming holiday!!) we haven't even seen his entry. Apparently it's of four birds (to represent his famiy) and that's all I know! Will post a photo when we get it back.Coming out of school today he asked 'Are you proud of me Mum?' - of course we all are!!! Well done my little Seb.
Seb's very happy that he got $2 prize money (don't spend it all at once Seb!!!). He's also got a blue ribbon we'll get back once they take the collage off display.
