Our best friends have a daughter!!! Glen & Tamara received the magic phone call on 23rd September saying they have a precious baby girl. Noah is a big brother! They had a very long agonising wait to their second child and we are over the moon that they are so close to holding their much longed for baby girl in their arms. They are naming her Ava MinAh and she was born on the 6th April and only turned 6 months old yesterday. Isn't she just precious? I SO can't wait to see them come off the plane as a family of four! We need lots of prayers sent their way that they are able to go to Korea before Christmas to collect Ava. The start of December at the latest would be wonderful!!Tam & I had a plan all worked out for when they were allocated. We were going to head to Bendigo as soon as possible to help look after Noah while Glen & Tam did all the paperwork etc and of course to celebrate!!! Of course, our plans didn't pan out quite as we expected! We'd been in Leeton for a planned week of school for Ian, but we were all sick as dogs and left for home on Wednesday. We received the wonderful phone call from an overjoyed Tam & Glen just as we passed through Hay. We had to wait almost a whole week until we were well enough to travel and not infect all of them as well. But boy, it was worth the wait!
We all went out for tea to celebrate Ava's allocation. If you can see in the photo, Ava also joined us sitting proudly on the Lazy Susan!

Tamara and I in Ava's room. Tam is just a 'little' bit happy to be able to sort through all of the things she's been storing away for a few years. It was so good to sit back and watch Tam go through all the things she bought when having a daughter was just a dream, and now it's become a reality. Oh, and this was before we went on our 10 hour shopping trip to Melbourne! Boy, did we have some fun.

The magical moment of hanging up some 'pink' clothes.

Words cannot say how happy we are for our best friends. I've cried so many happy tears for them these past couple of weeks it's ridiculous!!! It's been so nice to travel this journey with them. There have been some very hard times when no one knew what the adoption world was doing, but my goodness it was so worth the wait.
May precious little Ava MinAh be in your arms before you know it :)
