Boys camping trip

Ok, so I'm WAY behind in updating the blog so hopefully I'll be able to catch up in a few posts. That's if the computer lets me of course, which has been a big part of the problem.

A few days after Christmas the 'boys' went camping. The 'boys' were Ian, Seb, Grandad, Uncle David, and cousins Ethan and Josh. With the combination of the river (or maybe it was a lake, I can't remember!), camping, dirt, fishing, and campfires, it was everything a boy dreams of - big and little!

Seb throwing in the yabbie net. Apparently the boys didn't like leaving it in the water too long, and were always pulling it out to see if they'd caught anything! Ah, they had fun doing it.

Going kayaking at the end of the day before bedtime. Boy Ian & Seb loved doing this together.

Beautiful scenery.

The 'camp' site. No tents for this lot this time! Ian work has some fellas doing some work down near the Anabranch and they have a few rooms to keep them comfortable while down there. So they weren't really roughing it on the camping trip, with rooms that had refrigerated air conditioning! There were two bedrooms, a dining room, and a fully working (read flushable!) toilet and shower.

Cousins and best mates.

Seb holding something 'icky'!!

Seb had an absolute ball going fishing with his own rod. I think he caught three fish total.

Uncle David taking Joshy for a ride.

Two 7 year old firebugs! They loved roasting marshmellows on the fire.

The boys with a fish Ian caught.

Ah, the serenity! Already out fishing before 6am.
