Zoe's 1st birthday

It was our dear little daugther's first birthday today. I can't believe Zoe is one already. Time has gone so fast since we first held her in our arms a bit over eight months ago. We still pinch ourselves over the fact we have got two of the most wonderful children. Zoe has come so far since we met her in Taiwan. We reflected on how her birthmother was feeling today, and how she must be especially thinking of Zoe today. We are forever grateful to her for our wonderful daugther.

Zoe has reached more milestones. Her fourth tooth popped out a few days ago, and she is walking more and more on her own. She says quite a few words 'Mum' 'Dad' 'more' 'bath' 'nan' and her absolute favourite 'up'. They're the ones I can think of at the moment. Zoe's still very much a Mummy's girl, but she still love to cuddle up to Daddy. She doesn't like to give kisses, but will smack her lips in a 'kiss' fashion which is close enough for her! Her favourite toy is a yellow bus that was actually Seb's which she pushes along sideways all through the house.

Seb was loving opening the presents, but we had to keep reminding him that it was Zoe's birthday and he had to give her a chance to open something too!

We had a wonderful day celebrating Zoe's first birthday. We had a small family gathering tonight, prior to her big party on the weekend :)

It was kind of sad knowing my last baby is already one, but we are so proud of her and are looking forward to her growing into a lovely little girl.
